Contour Casings now offer a full range of polymer low surface temperature radiator guards, to complement their ranges of steel radiator covers and Contour-Ply pipe casings.

The guards provide an alternative to steel covers where the area of use is prone impact, vandalism or high traffic.
Covers are Class 1 fire rated and compliant to NHS guidelines on safe surface temperature.
The design has a radiused front edge to protect building users who may be prone to falls. Sloping top covers are available too. |

All polymer covers are available with an optional secondary anti-ligature grille which also prevents small objects such as pens and syringes being inserted into the cover.
Radiator casings are supplied as floor mounted as standard, although wall mounted units are available too.
Polymer radiator guards have good access to valves and bleed points through large side doors on both sides of the guard, similar to the Contour Classic steel radiator cover.
Two variants are available; standard and high impact. Standard guards are suitable for most applications.
High Impact guards are manufactured from a special impact resistant white polycarbonate. They are extremely tough and suitable for high risk areas.
Their increased elasticity ensures that they flex upon impact rather than dent or break.
The guards are manufactured from 4.5mm thick extruded rigid PVC. The leading edges of the covers have a 25mm radius resulting in a very strong section with rolled top.
The cover is available as standard in RAL 9010. The PVC sheet is homogenous. The cover does not incorporate BioCote anti-microbial finish.
The covers comply with NHS Hazard Notice (96) 03 - the guard will not give off toxic fumes in the event of fire. The guards achive a Class 1 surface spread of flame, when tested in accordancee with BS 476:Part 7. |
